By entering into a service agreement with ICS, you agree not to hire past or present employees of Independence Cleaning Services for a period of not less than 2 years from the date that employee last worked for Independence Cleaning Services. In the event you feel you must hire an employee of Independence Cleaning Services in spite of this agreement, a $500.00 referral fee is due immediately upon employment of the past or present employee, regardless of regular employment or on a contractual basis.
If your regular cleaning day falls on a holiday observed by ICS, we will contact you to reschedule your cleaning.
It is appropriate to tip your cleaning team when deserved. Although not required, a gesture of appreciation for your cleaning crew is a powerful way to let them know you appreciate their hard work. Even a note from you means a great deal!
We make every effort to provide you with the same team each and every time we clean your home or office, but there are times that a change in staff is required due to sickness, injury, vacation, etc. In the event we need to send replacement staff, you can be assured that each member of the Independence roster has received the same extensive training to ensure consistent cleaning services and techniques for all of our clients.
Our teams can vary from job to job, but most work in teams of three. All of our service times are based on a team of three. If we send more than three people to your home or office, then the time we will spend there will be less than what was quoted and vice versa.
Payments are due the day of your scheduled cleaning service unless other arrangements are made. Most customers find it convenient to simply leave a check payable to Independence Cleaning Services, but you may also pay by credit card by completing an Automatic Billing Authorization form or by simply calling the office. Each credit card transaction is assessed an additional 3% service fee.
Independence will work with you. Simply call the office 5 days before your scheduled appointment and we will do our best to reschedule the appointment to accommodate your scheduling needs. If Independence receives less than 5 days’ notice or we can’t access your property , it will be necessary for us to charge the full price of your cleaning. Future scheduled cleanings will remain unchanged. If you wish to cancel your services, please be sure to submit the request in writing to the office staff. Do not inform the service providers of any changes in your schedule. This must be handled directly with management.
We treat you and your home with complete respect. If something does unexpectedly break, we do our best to either repair or replace that item. Residential maids are fully insured, so claims are filed when appropriate.
Independence has a 24 hour guarantee. If you are not satisfied, simply contact us within 24 hours to arrange for us to come back and re-clean any areas that do not meet your satisfaction.
Independence can not guarantee what time residential housekeepers will arrive because each home gets the attention it deserves and not a pre-determined amount of time. It is important to understand that while we may be able to tell you whether we will be there in the morning or afternoon, it is impossible to set a specific time of arrival. What’s significant is that if we schedule your appointment on Thursday, then we promise to be there on Thursday.
Independence does not obligate its clients to enter into a contract for any specified period of time. While we hope you remain a customer forever, you are free to cancel your service at any time for any reason. We do enter into a Service Agreement with all of our clients that outlines how we will work together to ensure consistent service.
Fees are based on many factors, including but not limited to size, condition, and frequency of cleaning schedule. We perform a free, no-obligation quote for all of our clients which will provide you with a personalized cleaning schedule and price. During the estimate visit, we will explain who we are and what we do as well as learn details about your home or office that will ensure your expectations are met.
Because we clean Monday-Friday, 6am-5pm, most of our customers are not at home but the vast majority trust Independence with a key to their home. For additional security, all keys are individually coded and secured nightly in a lock box and only checked out the day of service.
Independence is a professional cleaning service and we hire residential and commercial service providers who pride themselves in quality services. Before joining our team they will go into a rigorous training program. Each service technician is trained to perform the detailed cleaning plans to our customer’s specifications. We stand behind our work with a 24-hour Guarantee. If you are not satisfied, simply contact us within 24 hours to arrange for us to come back and re-clean any areas that do not meet your satisfaction at no charge.
Yes, being bonded and insured is important for your protection as well as for liability reasons. It is extremely important that anyone working in your home be insured and bonded. That means if an Independence Cleaning employee were to become injured while working in your place, it is the company’s responsibility to cover expenses. The customer is not responsible for medical damages, property damages and other accidents, thus protecting the customer.
